When your child is first diagnosed with autism, it’s natural to feel unsure of where to turn. You want someone who will not only support your child’s needs, but also see their spirit, celebrate their progress, and create a safe space for them to thrive.

That’s exactly what Dejah brings to her role at Creating Brighter Futures.

Now a Senior Behavior Technician, Dejah started in this field while studying psychology, later switching to social work to focus more directly on helping others. At first, she was nervous — unsure what to expect from ABA therapy. But after just a few sessions, she realized she had found something truly meaningful. She didn’t just love the work — she loved the kids.

Today, Dejah works one-on-one with children, helping them grow through personalized therapy programs, play-based learning, and strong, trusting relationships. She takes time before each session to carefully review individual behavior plans and accommodations so every child feels safe, supported, and understood.

She’s especially passionate about celebrating the small wins — the ones that may seem little to others but mean the world to a child and their family. Whether it’s a moment of independence, a new skill mastered, or a simple smile of confidence, Dejah is there to cheer them on.

Parents appreciate the way she keeps them informed and included. Each day ends with a “go-home sheet” that shares the day’s highlights, progress, and positive moments. Dejah also connects in person during drop-off and pick-up, making sure families always feel in the loop and reassured about their child’s growth.

As Dejah puts it, “Therapy is about more than checking boxes — it’s about building real confidence and connection.” That mindset, along with the welcoming, supportive team at Creating Brighter Futures, makes a lasting difference in the lives of the kids she works with.
