Make a Difference—and Love Coming to Work

At Creating Brighter Futures, your career isn’t just about what you do. It’s about why you do it—and who you do it with.

Every day, we help children build confidence, independence, and joy through personalized ABA therapy, and that work starts with the people we hire. Whether you’re brand new to the field or already on the path to becoming a BCBA, we’ll give you the training, mentorship, and support you need to thrive.

Here, you’ll join a team that truly feels like family. Our center is filled with laughter, trust, creativity, and shared purpose. You’ll form real bonds with kids, celebrate meaningful milestones, and know that what you’re doing matters — not just to a program, but to a child, a parent, and an entire family.

If you’re compassionate, dependable, and ready to grow in a place that values both heart and skill, we’d love to meet you.

ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician

Frequently Asked Questions

Behavior Technicians (BTs) work one-on-one with children to support skill development, communication, independence, and positive behavior. You’ll use structured programs (designed by a BCBA) and blend learning into play-based, joyful interactions. Every session is unique — and every breakthrough is meaningful.

No prior ABA experience is required! Many of our best staff came to us from education, psychology, social work, child care, or even completely unrelated fields. If you love working with kids and have a growth mindset, we’ll train you from the ground up and support you every step of the way.

We provide real, hands-on training, not just a quick overview. You’ll complete a paid 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training and then shadow experienced team members before ever working with a child on your own. You’ll be paired with mentors, observe sessions, learn how to collect data, and get familiar with our data collection tools.

Once you’re ready, we ease you in gradually — always with support nearby. You’ll also receive ongoing coaching, team check-ins, and real-time feedback so you never feel like you’re figuring things out alone. Many staff have said our training is better than anywhere else they’ve worked, and we take pride in helping new team members feel confident, prepared, and excited to grow.

Your day might include circle time songs, trampoline games, teaching how to ask for a snack, or celebrating a child tying their shoes for the first time. You’ll follow a structured schedule with individualized goals for each child, all within a warm, supportive, and fun center-based environment.

Yes! Many of our team members start as Behavior Technicians and grow into Group Facilitators, Case Managers, BCBAs, or other leadership roles. We prioritize internal promotion and offer guidance if you're pursuing a degree in ABA, psychology, or a related field.

Supportive, close-knit, and positive. Our staff often describe the environment as drama-free, collaborative, and filled with laughter. You’ll never feel alone here, and there’s always someone ready to jump in and help.

All of our therapy takes place in our center in Ann Arbor. No travel required. You’ll have access to a safe, well-equipped space with multiple activity rooms, shared materials, and a consistent team around you.

Comfortable and kid-friendly! We recommend clothes you can move in easily—you’ll be on the floor, running around, and engaging with kids throughout the day.

You’ll be trained on how to manage those moments safely and confidently. No behavior surprises us—we’ve seen it all, and our team is here to help. You’ll always have backup and support nearby, plus the trust of experienced BCBAs guiding every plan.

Yes! Full-time staff (30+ hours/week) are eligible for health insurance, paid time off, and a 3% employer-matched retirement plan after 90 days. We also provide CPR/First Aid training and certification.

All you need is a clear background check, two professional references, and a desire to help children thrive. We’ll teach you everything else.
