Ypsilanti sits right next door to our Ann Arbor center, close enough that daily ABA therapy doesn't have to take over your day. Ypsilanti Schools and Your Child's IEP
In Ypsilanti Community Schools, special education runs from preschool through grade 12. The district says most students with disabilities are taught in general education classrooms, and each child's Individualized Education Program decides the type and amount of support. Families south of Ford Lake may be in Lincoln Consolidated Schools instead.
If your child is younger than 3, Washtenaw ISD's Early On program provides a free developmental evaluation. Whatever stage your child is at, our team can help you prepare for IEP meetings and coordinate therapy hours so school and ABA goals point the same direction.

ABA Programs for Ypsilanti Families
Younger children often start in our Early Intervention Program (ages 2 to 8), where we work on communication, play, toilet training, and getting ready for a classroom. Older kids and teens join the Junior & Adolescent Program (ages 8 to 18), which practices hygiene, adaptive skills, and pre-vocational skills in a center with its own kitchen and laundry room. Our group programs add small-group practice with peers.
Around Ypsilanti
The Ypsilanti District Library's Superior branch has hosted an ASL-friendly sensory storytime for young children, so its events calendar is worth watching. Each August, the free Ypsilanti Heritage Festival fills Riverside Park, Depot Town, and downtown; if crowds are hard for your child, quieter morning hours and a planned exit can make it easier to enjoy.
