ABA Therapy for Townships Around Ann Arbor

6

Many of the families we serve don't live in a city or village at all. They live in the townships that surround Ann Arbor, on country roads, in subdivisions, and on small farms. Creating Brighter Futures provides center-based ABA therapy for children and teens ages 2 to 18 with autism and other developmental disabilities, and township families are a big part of our community.

Which School District Serves Your Township?

Township lines and school district lines rarely match. A single township can be split among two or three districts, so two families on the same road may attend different schools. Your district is set by your home address, and the township office or your county's intermediate school district can confirm it.

Whichever district your child attends, we help parents understand IEP goals, prepare for meetings, and keep school and ABA working together. Homeschooling families are welcome too.

Early On by County

Early On is Michigan's free early intervention program for children from birth to age 3, and it's run by county:

Countywide Special Education Programs

Besides each district’s own special education services, two county programs serve students with more significant needs in our area:

  • High Point School (Washtenaw ISD) in Ann Arbor serves students ages 3 to 26 from nine Washtenaw County districts: Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Dexter, Lincoln, Manchester, Milan, Saline, Whitmore Lake, and Ypsilanti.
  • Pathway School (Livingston ESA) serves Livingston County students with the most complex disabilities, which includes families in Green Oak and Hamburg townships.

Programs for Township Families

Our Early Intervention Program serves ages 2 to 8, and the Junior & Adolescent Program serves ages 8 to 18. We also run seasonal group programs and PEERS social skills groups for teens. Looking for a nearby city instead? See all of our areas served.
