ABA Therapy Serving Chelsea, Michigan
Chelsea families have an easy freeway run to our Ann Arbor center. Creating Brighter Futures provides ABA therapy for children and teens ages 2 to 18 with autism and other developmental disabilities, in a center with individual work areas, a mock classroom, and a large motor room.
How Far Is Creating Brighter Futures From Chelsea?
Our center at 4201 Varsity Drive is about 19 miles from downtown Chelsea, roughly 26 minutes without traffic. Head south on M-52 to I-94, drive east to the State Street exit, and follow Ellsworth Road to Varsity Drive.
Because the trip is almost all freeway, it stays fairly predictable. We'll match session times, which usually run 2 to 5 hours, to your work and school routine.
Chelsea School District and Your Child's IEP
Chelsea School District's special education department aims to serve students with disabilities locally, in the most inclusive setting possible, with teams in each building. For babies and toddlers, Washtenaw ISD's Early On program provides a free evaluation for children under 3.
We help Chelsea parents understand IEP goals and advocate for the supports their child needs, and we coordinate with teachers and therapists when families ask us to.
Schools in Chelsea

Programs for Chelsea Families
The Early Intervention Program serves ages 2 to 8 and works on communication, self-care, and school readiness. The Junior & Adolescent Program serves ages 8 to 18. Our group programs give kids structured practice with peers during summer and the school year.
Around Chelsea
On summer Thursday evenings, downtown Chelsea hosts Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights, a free, family-friendly series with performers on stages throughout downtown, from musicians to jugglers, face painters, and balloon artists. Because acts are spread out, families can choose a quieter corner and move on when their child is ready.
