💙 Parent Voices: The Right People Make All the Difference

When Justin and his wife first heard the word “autism,” their world tilted. Their only reference point was the movie Rain Man — and Andrew wasn’t anything like that. At first, they questioned the diagnosis, unsure how to process the news or what to expect next.

But everything started to change when they met Jessica.

At the time, Jessica was working at another ABA center. When she told them she was starting her own — Creating Brighter Futures — Justin and his wife didn’t hesitate. “We’ll be your first client,” they said. And they were.

For over ten years, Andrew attended Creating Brighter Futures, growing from a nonverbal, deeply misunderstood child into a thriving teen now integrated into the public school system. Along the way, Justin witnessed more than just progress — he saw patience, compassion, and unwavering support from a team that felt like family.

What stood out most to Justin was how deeply the staff cared — not just clinically, but emotionally. “They have a level of patience I don’t even possess,” he admits. “And I’m so thankful for that.”

He recalls how the BCBA team worked closely with their family, always listening to concerns and adapting care when needed. They didn’t push cookie-cutter solutions. Instead, they welcomed collaboration, encouraged feedback, and created a space where Andrew — and his parents — could grow with confidence.

That support extended into the school system as well. When it came time for Andrew to transition, the staff attended IEP meetings, explained his needs in clinical terms, and made sure everyone involved understood how to help him succeed. Today, Andrew is considered a 10th grader and continues to make steady progress in the classroom.

Looking back, Justin says Creating Brighter Futures didn’t just change Andrew’s life — it changed his entire family’s.

“If I had to do it all over again,” he says, “this is exactly where I’d come. I wouldn’t change a thing.”

A quick note: These testimonials were voluntarily shared by parents whose children have previously received services at Creating Brighter Futures. All families featured here have graduated from their programs and are no longer active clients. We're honored to share their reflections and celebrate the progress their children made along the way.
