💙 Parent Voices: The Day Everything Changed
When Justin and his wife first heard the words "your son has autism," they had more questions than answers. Like many parents, they worried about what the future would look like. Their only point of reference was the movie Rain Man, and they quickly realized autism was far more complex than they had imagined.
When Jessica decided to open Creating Brighter Futures, Justin and his wife didn't hesitate—they became her very first family. Looking back today, Justin says that decision changed the course of Andrew's life.
Over the next ten years, Andrew learned far more than communication and life skills. Through individualized ABA therapy, he gained confidence, independence, and the tools he needed to transition successfully into public school. Today, he's riding the bus independently, thriving in school, and accomplishing things Justin once wasn't sure would ever be possible.
But Justin says one of the greatest gifts wasn't just Andrew's progress—it was the peace of mind Creating Brighter Futures gave their family. Knowing Andrew was surrounded by people who truly cared allowed him to go to work each day with confidence, knowing his son was exactly where he needed to be.
Creating Brighter Futures didn't simply work with Andrew. The team worked alongside his entire family—listening, collaborating, attending IEP meetings, and helping prepare Andrew for every new milestone. Justin describes the relationship as one built on honesty, compassion, and trust.
Today, when parents ask him where to turn after an autism diagnosis, his answer is simple.
"If I had to do it all over again, this is exactly where I'd come."
