Staff Spotlight: Getting to know Shelby Olvera

We are so fortunate, here at Creating Brighter Futures, to have an extraordinarily gifted staff. They come to work and put in 100% everyday! Constructing creative ideas, reading tricky situations and following strict guidelines and protocols are just some of the traits needed moment to moment at the center. Among our treasures is Miss Shelby Olvera.

Shelby currently lives in Ypsilanti. She came to CBF a year ago after she graduated with her B.S in Health Sciences from Saginaw Valley State University. Shelby works with the Junior and Adolescent program and values most the relationships she has made with the kiddos. It is exciting for her to see the gains made by her clients and she is eager to continue their progress. She also highly regards the the relationships she has made with her fellow staff members and parents. Interpersonal relationships are important to Shelby and she feels she is able to achieve those here at Creating Brighter Futures.

In the future, Shelby would like to continue working toward a Masters degree and eventually cultivate a program for special needs teens. In her program she hopes to teach social, job and daily living skills in the community. We are so thankful she is working with our kiddos and keeping their future in hers.
