Michigan DNR Outdoor Adventure Center
The Michigan DNR Outdoor Adventure Center, located in the historic Globe Building on Detroit’s riverfront, allows visitors to experience hands-on outdoor adventures. There are so many fun exhibits and simulators to explore: walking behind and touching a waterfall, getting to ride on a fishing boat and reel in the big catch, or just hitting the trail on a mountain bike or snowmobile. The options are just about endless!
The OAC welcomes those with sensory processing differences and has special days and hours set up! The next sensory-friendly day is Saturday, August 10th from 10am-12pm, where the OAC will have a quiet room with sensory materials available for your use.
