Many parents think having a teen on the ASD spectrum rules out the milestone of driving. We have a wonderful resource to pass on that may help answer some questions many parents have about Michigan driving laws, expectations of young drivers and options for teens. Ann Arbor Driving School has special classes designed especially for people on the Autism Spectrum. You can call and ask questions such as, If my child gets a permit, do they have to go on and get an independent driver’s license or can they stay with a permit indefinitely?
