Creating Brighter Futures Proud To Participate In Walk Now For Autism Speaks
Creating Brighter Futures was extremely proud to participate and raise money for this year’s Michigan Walk Now for Autism Speaks event at Ford Field. Click here for their website: http://www.walknowforautismspeaks.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1103083
This event raised a total of $179,906, which will be used to advance research needed to learn more about Autism, which is the fastest growing serious developmental disorder within the US.
Recent autism statistics show that 1 in 68 children (1 in 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls) are diagnosed as having autism. Each of these individuals is a part of a family that must come to grips with what autism is and how to go about providing the most normal life possible for both the family as well as the child. To make further strides in terms of awareness, research and treatment options, fundraising is incredibly important.
The Creating Brighter Futures team was able to raise $4,341 for the event, which put us in the top 10 in terms of team fundraising.

Resource Fair Helped To Raise Autism Awareness
We were honored to not only participate in the walk but also to have a table at the Resource Fair. The resource fair offered a platform to increase awareness about Autism and to provide more information about Creating Brighter Futures.
Here you can see our table at the Resource Fair, which we used to show some of the unique treatment techniques, such as our play-based approaches to learning.
As you can see from the picture below our marble run was a hit among participants at the Resource Fair.
About Creating Brighter Futures
Creating Brighter Futures provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children between the ages of 2-8. We have a highly trained team of professionals that provide training and behavioral interventions to not only your child but also to your entire family, which can help to significantly improve your family’s daily life. We use a center-based treatment approach, which gives children the chance to learn one-on-one with behavioral therapists as well as the benefit of interacting with their peers to help improve social skills.
