CBF To Walk In The Autism Alliance Of Michigan Autism Heroes Walk

Autism Walk At Detroit ZooAt Creating Brighter Futures, we always are doing our best to support local causes – especially when they revolve around Autism. One of the organizations that are close to the hearts of many of the Certified Behavior Analysts and other staff members at CBF is the Autism Alliance of Michigan. AAoM works tirelessly to raise funds to support a variety of programs focused on improving the livelihood of individuals and families living with Autism.

Organization To Host Autism Alliance of Michigan Autism Heroes Walk

AAoM will host a 1.5 mile walk at the Detroit Zoo on June 28th. Walkers will meander through the zoo passing by some of the popular animal exhibits showcasing bears, giraffes, tigers and more. After the walk finishes, participants and their families are encouraged to enjoy live entertainment in the event pavilion.

Any funds that are raised during the walk will support a variety of AAoM programs including:

  • GPS Award Programs
  • The Navigator
  • Safety Trainings

More About The Autism Alliance Of Michigan

If you’re not familiar with AAoM, they truly are an incredible organization. AAoM’s primary mission is to raise awareness that will lead to an improved quality of life for individuals who are dealing with Autism as well as their family members through access to services, education, advocacy and research.

At Creating Brighter Futures, we share many of the beliefs of AAoM – specifically the belief that Autism therapy involves not only the individual with Autism, but also the family. This is why all of our ABA Autism treatment programs are centered around therapy in a family-oriented learning center. We even offer a variety of quarterly parent training sessions to ensure that the family is able to handle the stress that can sometimes be brought on when dealing with Autism.
